Pollution causes lung damage in teens !

http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/03/04/childrens-lung-health-improves-as-air-pollution-is-reduced-study-says/?_r=0

Limiting air pollution isn't only important to save the environment, it also matter to the health of humans. Kids in the age range of 11-15 lungs are still developing so their lungs can be permanently damaged.

  1. Well what we gotta do to fix this is put air filters on those big tubes on the factories, then the air will be clean. But those filters would be really big so it would be hard to make but we could do it and it would work.

  2. We all knew that air pollution is a bad thing and it is threatening our health, but what about the kids in China? Their air is much more polluted than America. Also we constantly hear about that there is air pollution but we haven't heard a lot of ways of cleaning the air. Or maybe we are unfamiliar on how to clean the air.

  4. Something that I found really interesting is that there is some much social pressure right now to stop kids, teens, and adults to stop smoking because it is so bad for there lungs were as some of the companies that are trying to get people to stop smoking are pumping chemicals that are just as bad for you into the air. Also I was wondering if maybe over time people will develop an immunity to some of the chemicals in the air?

    1. Well i think that it might be possible but as we progress threw time the machines that we use now might not be around in say 50 years. Over that time chemicals will change. So yes i think we could become to immune to the chemicals but whos to know if in the future the chemicals have become even more deadly or less deadly than they all ready are idk just an idea

  6. what i found interesting is that not a lot of social media campaigns are trying to fix this problem. A lot of toxic air is being pumped into the air from factories. Maybe they just don't notice it because those factories make everyday things that we use. I wonder if scientist in the future can make it mandatory to put machines in every factory to clean the air before it's pumped in the atmosphere maybe that will fix the problem.

  7. I think it cool that you related to the situation. These big problems effect us, as teenagers, and someone or something has to put an end to it. But how much does it really effect us and our lungs?

  8. I think this was a interesting topic to learn a little about the article gave good information on the topic. I feel like this is something we should know more about and let everyone know about it because its causing teens cancer because this is the time our bodies are growing and changing. But what can we do to stop so much pollution? People could stop using there cars so much and instead ride a bike and we could get rid of so many factories.

  10. This is a great topic because it impacts us as teens so we can relate to this issue. I think a lot of people overlook this type of stuff. What I wonder is does this affect all teens or only the ones in citys.
