The new technology of desalination is gaining traction as the answer to California's water issues. Desalination is the process of turning ocean water into drinking water. This idea is very controversial as it is very pricy and could threaten marine life in the Pacific Ocean. California is running out of ideas to end the drought and desalination may be the last chance.
