Population is currently at a steep increase due to better medical care, better technology, immigration, and an imbalance of birth and death rates. We need to control the population so that we don't run short on resources, have conflicts and wars, more pollution, and higher unemployment rates. Fortunately, there is a lot we can do to to keep that from happening, including many forms of education like teaching people about birth control, family planning, and just better education in general.

Population has created a great dilemma in our world. The increase has been enormous, but families are beginning to realize the issue with birthing a large amount of children. A video I watched last year, said that after reaching 11 billion people, we will most likely stop growing in population. The average family has 2 children, if it stays this way, there will not be an increase because there is a new child born for each adult that will eventually pass away
ReplyDeleteOver population has a giant affect on our world. Not only children being brought into the world by unwilling parents, but we're also reaching a point where the impact is hurting our Earth. The more people, the more pollution, illness, disease, and climate change. I mean our Earth can only support so many people. I feel like one way this could be solved is with adoption laws being shifted, for example, many people want to adopt, but it's incredibly expensive and the screening process is often times less than thorough. If we changed this so it would be less expensive & extensive, and made a law or something that you have to adopt so that more children aren't being brought into the world I believe that would help. It is pretty far fetched, but no more than China's one child per adult policy.

ReplyDeleteOver population is defiantly one of the worlds biggest issues because there's a point at which were going to run out of resources including food and water and then we will be left with an even bigger issue in our hands which is what do we do now. One way that we can control birth rates which was said in your article was family planning and if we could control that then the population would decrease.
ReplyDeleteI recently posted about over population killing biodiversity, and this article shows that it will not only harm animals but also the human race. In China they put a baby limit down so you could only have kids that could replace you and population would stay the same.
