Having the plants that our food come from genetically modified is a very controversial topic. One positive way to think about it is that we can engineer our plants and crops to be drought resistent or last longer. But skeptics say that we don't know the exact outcome because we have never genetically modified something before. In the article is says that scientists are afraid of what will happen if you put in one gene and another comes out. Will everything stay the same?
In my opinion gmo plants are terrible. How are we supposed to know what people are making us ingest. The genes could potentially be very dangerous, and there is no testing yet. We should get more fool proof testing of gmos before we let them take over most of our food.
