The Next Dinosaur Extinction

9 comments:

  1. So I was just wondering, how can dinosaurs go extinct if they don't exist anymore? I haven't seen your video yet, but I will comment again after.

  2. i'm just wondering about the part where u say that were losing dozens of species of animals every day, is that like dozens of individual species or dozens of each animal part of the species?

    1. One in every six of Eath's species will be lost because of climate change unless we do something, so yes I meant individual species are dying each day. We have around 8.7 species in the world at the moment, but this number could decrease rapidly in the future.

  3. How can we prevent this extinction?

  4. I think it is shocking how so many animal species could possibly become extinct because of us. I wonder how we can help get out of this mess that we created?

  5. This post is very interesting! What interests me the most is that even if the mass extinction may happen in this century (85 years to go...), there are still a ton of multicellular organisms that could become extinct in this year only. Which is showing that this is happening at a very fast rate. I wonder if there is a pattern to the amount of species that are going extinct as the years go by (not in total, but more like every year). Is there a pattern to the extinction rates and does it connect to the efforts and awareness of the people?

  6. I think Keeping a species from being extinct is a lot harder than people are making it seem, if so many species are already dead then it starts a chain reaction and before we know it more species will die off and we won't be able to do anything. -Rafael-MA
