  1. 1 billion people is a ton! Are there areas where this clean water shortage is particularly bad? From the purifying devices shown, which are being used and how efficient have they been working? I think this shows how lucky we are to be subject to the use of clean water each day, and inspires us to find ways for everyone to have the same.

  2. I find it quite interesting that simple sand and graphite can be used to purify dirty water. I wonder if this sand has anyting special in it, and if graphite is difficult to come by. If not, why aren't sand and graphite used regularly in order to solve these problems? Also, does the United Nations have a plan to help out with these issues?

  6. I think we definitely need more of all these products. I never even knew we have portable purifying drinking straws! all of these products are amazing for the earth, and should be recognized and used more often.
